Biochemistry provides an international forum for publishing exceptional, rigorous, high-impact research across all of biological chemistry. Since Professor Alanna Schepartz of Yale University took the helm as Editor-in-Chief in 2016, the journal has undergone a major revitalization to reflect the true breadth of modern biological chemistry, and in 2018 Biochemistry is in many ways a brand new journal.

In addition to traditional Research Articles, Biochemistry also publishes Communications, Viewpoints, and Perspectives. The journal’s “From the Bench” articles report new methods of particular interest to the biological chemistry community and “Biochemistry to Bedside” articles discuss “various recent drug approvals, with an eye to their biochemical details and how these have translated into the clinic.” (Read the Editorial by Derek B.
