Celebrate National Chemistry Week 2018 with Astrochemistry Resources from the Journal of Chemical Education

National Chemistry Week is a community-based annual event that unites ACS local sections, businesses, schools, and individuals in communicating and promoting the value of chemistry in our everyday life. This year, National Chemistry Week is being celebrated October 21–27, 2018 with the theme “Chemistry Is Out of this World!” providing an exploration of the chemistry in outer space. Astronomy and astronomy-related topics can be used to motivate students, illustrate important chemical concepts, and demonstrate that chemistry and chemists are concerned with all parts of nature. Make the most of this annual celebration by connecting the classroom experience to the greater world of chemistry research, using astrochemistry resources from the Journal of Chemical Education. The Journal of Chemical Education publishes peer-reviewed articles and related information, as resources for professionals in the field of chemical education.
