You may have noticed (or received emails about) some changes to ACS’ manuscript submission and peer review environment, ACS Paragon Plus. We’re pleased to bring our authors and reviewers substantial improvements that will improve the efficiency and speed of the submission and review process. Keep reading for an overview of these important changes and how they’ll help you, as a researcher.
Our manuscript submission and peer review environment, ACS Paragon Plus, now uses ACS ID.
We are pleased to announce that ACS Publications has transitioned to the use of ACS ID for access to ACS Paragon Plus. The ACS ID is a single login that allows access across multiple ACS online environments, including the proof review site, C&EN, and now ACS Paragon Plus. This change is in response to requests to unify logins for different ACS websites. Now you can use your ACS ID for manuscript submission, peer review, and approval of proofs.
If you don’t already have an ACS ID, register for one today. Registration is free and takes only a minute. If you haven’t registered for an ACS ID by the time you submit your next paper, you’ll be prompted to do so at the time of submission.
In addition to the introduction of ACS ID, a number of other changes have been introduced to ACS Paragon Plus that make it easier to review manuscripts submitted to ACS journals:
1. Side-by-side display of the manuscript proof and review form
The manuscript proof and review form is displayed side-by-side on the same screen.
2. New drag-and-drop interface for reviewer comments
Reviewers can now upload comments by using an easy drag-and-drop interface.
3. Auto-save comment feature on the review form
The review form auto-saves your comments while you are working.
