TheNano Letters Early Career Board (ECB) was created in 2015 to provide a channel for early career researchers in nanoscience to get an inside look at scientific publishing while also providing valuable insights that shape the journal’s direction. It also serves as an opportunity to ensure that the journal reflects the needs of early career researchers.

Over the years, the ECB has contributed to the journal’s growth in a variety of ways. Members have served as ambassadors at conferences as well as on social media. The Board has also organized Virtual Issues, Mini Reviews, and even ACS Axial Posts, including this one about “The Impact of COVID-19 on Early Career Researchers.”

Looking for New Members

  • Graduate students, postdocs, and early-career faculty in their first three years as an Assistant Professor or similar position in industry or national laboratories
  • Published authors that show the promise of the candidate’s contributions to nanoscience
    • Bonus points for publishing in Nano Letters
  • Interested in helping the journal find new ways to promote the journal to new audiences
  • Interested in curating articles for social media, Virtual Issues, etc.
  • Active on social media
  • Represent diverse backgrounds from around the world
