While the past 12 months have been challenging, Chinese editors, authors, reviewers, and readers have continued to make major contributions to chemistry. The American Chemical Society would like to thank our Chinese colleagues for their excellent work and wish them a happy and prosperous year of the Ox.

In recognition of this important relationship, ACS CEO Dr. Tom Connelly has prepared a special message wishing you and your families the very best health and happiness in the New Year, on behalf of everyone at ACS.

In the spirit of the celebration, the Editors of the Journal of the American Chemical Society (JACS) have also produced a video to express their well-wishes as the year begins. This is JACS Editor-in-Chief Erick M. Carreira’s first Chinese New Year as the leader of the journal. In this video, Carreira joins with JACS Executive Editors Jihong Yu and Zhaomin Hou, and Associate Editors Shu-Li You, Li-Jun Wan, and Peidong Yang to share good tiding for the Year of the Ox.
