ACS Materials Au is looking for early-career investigators who are pushing scientific boundaries and conducting research at the forefront of fundamental or applied research and at the interface between materials and other disciplines. Generally, these are scientists who are in the first six years of their initial independent appointment (Assistant Professor or equivalent). However, investigators beyond this six-year period who have taken career breaks or those significantly impacted by the ongoing pandemic will also be considered.
These “Rising Stars” will be invited to submit a Perspective, Letter, or Research Article to ACS Materials Au. The “Rising Star” publications will appear in issues throughout 2022 and then will be collected in a virtual issue at the end of the year, which will be widely promoted.
If you know someone you feel deserves this recognition, please reach out to Stephanie.Brock@journals.acs.org by December 15th, 2021 with the name of the candidate, their institution and contact information, and a brief statement on why you think they should be considered. A link to an online CV or publication list would be greatly appreciated.
Self-Nominations Will Also Be Accepted!
In addition to the required information listed above, self-nominations should include a CV, an indication of the publication type (Perspective, Letter, or Article), planned submission date (late 2021 to September 2022), and a statement about the work to be submitted and why it is suitable for ACS Materials Au.
