Journal of Proteome Research (JPR) in collaboration with the Canadian National Proteomics Network (CNPN) are soliciting manuscripts for an upcoming Virtual Special Issue on Canadian Proteomics. Established in 2008, CNPN aims to provide a co-operative mechanism for building the proteomics research infrastructure in Canada and to further a better understanding of proteomics and affiliated disciplines, including transcriptomics, lipidomics, interactomics, metabolomics and bioinformatics, in the Canadian life-sciences community.
For readers, this Virtual Special Issue will be an easily identifiable source of high-quality papers from authors residing in Canada or who have previously trained at a Canadian institution. For authors, the Virtual Special Issue will provide a venue of increased visibility for their work.
The “Canadian Proteomics” Virtual Special Issue will be managed by JPR Associate Editors and Guest Editors Jennifer Geddes-McAlister (Guelph University) and Nicole Hansmeier (University of Regina).
Topics included in this Special Issue must be within the journal scope. We encourage interested authors to read the recent Editorial on Publishing in JPR for more information on what the journal is looking for in a submission.
Submission Instructions
This Virtual Special Issue is open to all authors who have previously trained in Canada or are currently residing and/or affiliated with an institution in Canada; attendance at the 2023 Canadian National Proteomics Network Conference (CNPN2023) is not required for inclusion. Manuscripts will publish ASAP and in-issue as they are ready, and then, once all designated papers have been published, they will be compiled into an online collection.
Manuscripts must adhere to the guidelines available on the Journal of Proteome Research Information for Authors page and in the recent Editorial, and be submitted electronically through the ACS Paragon Plus portal. In Paragon, specify manuscript type, and activate the special issue feature to designate the paper for “Canadian Proteomics.”
The deadline for submission of manuscripts for the 2024 Virtual Special Issue is February 29, 2024. Manuscripts will be screened for suitability and undergo rigorous peer review.
