This I&ECR Special Issue recognizes exceptional undergraduate researchers across all areas of chemical engineering and highlight their innovative work. Submit your nomination by September 30, 2026.

Industrial & Engineering Chemistry Research (I&ECR) is planning the 2026 edition of our Special Issue celebrating undergraduate research. The Special Issue intends to recognize the next generation of research leaders in chemical engineering.
Therefore, we are launching this Call for Nominations encouraging university students and professors to nominate outstanding undergraduate students working in any area of chemical engineering. Students pursuing a master’s degree will also be considered. Self-nominations are accepted.
Nominations are open until September 30, 2026 and should be submitted using this form.
The nominations will be evaluated by the Editorial Board on a rolling basis and selected nominees will be notified promptly.
Please note that while we aspire to feature as many deserving up-and-coming researchers as possible, it may not be feasible to accommodate all the nominations we receive. However, we assure you that each nomination will be given careful consideration.
If you have any questions, please contact Managing Editor Michael Hurst.
