You’ve been hearing about it for months, and now the day is nearly here! ACS will make a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ official title attempt at hosting the Largest chemistry lesson during the upcoming ACS National Meeting & Exposition in Washington D.C. Ready to help ACS make history? Here’s what you need to know:
WHAT: Dr. David , Editor-in-Chief of Environmental Science & Technology and Environmental Science & Technology Letters will present a 30-minute lecture entitled “Healthy, Tasty, or Toxic: A Chemist’s View of Drinking Water,” followed by a brief question and answer period. Attendees must stay for the entire 30 minutes to count as part of the attempt. The results will be announced live following Dr. Sedlak’s talk.
WHEN: The program begins Monday, August 21, 2017 at 10 a.m.; doors open at 9 a.m. The event will be over by 11a.m.
WHERE: Ballroom A/B on the 3rd Floor of the Washington Convention Center.
HOW: We expect unprecedented demand for this event. If your schedule allows, consider arriving early to secure a great seat. Seats are not reserved and cannot be held. Note that the ballroom is on the 3rd floor, which is a different level than the Expo Hall. Look for any ACS Staffer in a “Record-Breaking Chemist” t-shirt if you need directions.
WHY: You’ll learn about the future of drinking water from an expert in the field, you’ll get a stylish “Record-Breaking Chemist” t-shirt, and you’ll have the satisfaction of knowing you were part of a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS official attempt at the title of Largest chemistry lesson.
If you haven’t preregistered already, please do so to help us anticipate demand and received updated about this exciting event.
