Chemical Research in Toxicology is proud to present the ‘Building Chemical Bonds’ series, featuring invited review articles dedicated to leaders in chemical toxicology written by their rising-star mentees and future leaders in the field. Central to these series is an interview featuring the mentor and mentee about what it means to be a mentor, valuable lessons from their mentors, and many more topics.

The first video in this series is between founding CRT Editor-in-Chief Larry Marnett and his former mentee, and current CRT Editorial Advisory Board member, Sarah Shuck. The associated publication is “DNA Adducts as Biomarkers To Predict, Prevent, and Diagnose Disease—Application of Analytical Chemistry to Clinical Investigations.
