This Honorary Special Issue celebrates the transformative impact of John H. Seinfeld on atmospheric science. Submit your manuscript by March 3, 2025.
This Special Issue from ACS ES&T Air aims to feature a broad range of contributions on all aspects of the many fields that John H. Seinfeld nucleated and expanded, including but not limited to air quality, aerosol microphysics and climate interactions, organic aerosol formation and dynamics, and human impacts on the global atmosphere. Papers focusing on research from lab and field studies as well as atmospheric simulations and other computational efforts are welcome.
Key topics of focus include, but are not limited to:
- Emissions of reduced gases to the atmosphere
- Aerosol and gas-phase chemistry and transformations
- Aerosol and cloud microphysics
- Impacts of aerosols and ozone on climate, air quality, and human/ecosystem health
- Air quality dynamics, simulation, and mitigation
- Links between atmospheric science and environmental policy
