This Special Issue will highlight environmental exposure and health research using advanced technologies. Combinations of exposomics with metabolomics, transcriptomics, lipidomics, and proteomics have made significant progress to uncover mechanisms for environmental health effects. Non-target analysis enables detection of large numbers of unknown chemical contaminants in the environment, while machine learning models provide effective analysis of large and complex datasets, automating data processing and method optimization, and enabling data-driven discovery. Molecular techniques, such as CRISPR, improve genome editing for health studies and enhance bioassays for environmental monitoring.

This Special Issue in Environment & Health welcomes innovative studies on the development and applications of advanced technology to environmental health research.
