As the United Nations 2030 Agenda for a ‘plan of action for people, planet, and prosperity’ approaches its half-way point, Environmental Science & Technology (ES&T) and Environmental Science & Technology Letters (ES&T Letters) are launching a joint special issue entitled “Accelerating Environmental Research to Achieve Sustainable Development Goals.”
Through this formal public call for papers, the journals are seeking high-quality research contributions that support advancements in environmental research towards achieving the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). Specifically, the special issue is focusing on novel and impactful environmental research that accelerates the progress and attainment of the following SDGs:
- SDG 3: Good Health and Well Being
- SDG 5: Gender Equality
- SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation
- SDG 7: Affordable and Clean Energy
- SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities
- SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities
- SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production
- SDG 13: Climate Action
- SDG 14: Life Below Water
- SDG 15: Life on Land
- SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals
The deadline for submissions is July 18th, 2023.
