The Emerging Investigators in Electrochemistry Special Issue at ACS Electrochemistry aims to celebrate the early-career researchers breaking new ground in the field of Electrochemistry. This Special Issue will showcase original, cutting-edge and impactful research from the next generation of researchers expanding the field of electrochemistry.
Through this initiative ACS Electrochemistry seeks to recognize promising early-career researchers working at the forefront of their field and highlight innovative ideas that will shape the future of electrochemistry. We invite you to submit a nomination for the Emerging Investigators in Electrochemistry.
Those who are selected as Emerging Investigators in Electrochemistry will be invited to submit an Article, Communication, Perspective, Review, Technical note or Tutorial to ACS Electrochemistry. All submissions must align with the journal’s scope. These publications will appear in issues throughout 2027 and later compiled into a special issue, which will be widely promoted.
How to nominate
We welcome nominations (including self-nominations) to be featured in this Special Issue. We are seeking early-career investigators (Assistant Professor or equivalent) who are within 10 years of receiving their Ph.D. Allowances are made for those who took career breaks for any reason. If you have any questions regarding suitability, please get in touch.

Researchers who are selected as contributors to the Emerging Investigators in Electrochemistry special issue will be notified by email.
We welcome submissions for this Special Issue through January 31, 2027. For more information on submission requirements, please visit the journal’s Author Guidelines page. Manuscripts submitted for consideration will undergo the full rigorous peer review process expected from ACS journals.
