Recent advances in optoelectronics and energy materials are reshaping technologies for sustainable energy generation, storage, and efficient light-based devices. Innovations in material synthesis, structural engineering, and interface design have enabled significant improvements in the performance of photovoltaics, photodetectors, light-emitting devices, batteries, supercapacitors, and related systems. At the same time, emerging materials such as perovskites, two-dimensional semiconductors, nanostructured oxides, organic semiconductors, and hybrid composites continue to reveal new physical phenomena and functionalities that expand the possibilities for next-generation devices.

This Special Issue at JACS Au aims to highlight recent progress in the design, synthesis, characterization, and device-focused applications of advanced materials for optoelectronic and energy-related technologies.
