In 2026, ACS Applied Nano Materials will publish a Special Issue titled “Chiral Nanomaterials: Synthesis, Assembly, Properties, and Applications”, intending to showcase recent advances in the design and synthesis of chiral nanomaterials for diverse applications.

Chiral nanomaterials research is driving innovation in fields like enantioselective catalysis, biosensing, and photonics by enabling precise control over arrangements of atoms, molecules and nanoparticles as well as light–matter interactions at the nanoscale. This Special Issue intends to highlight the original scientific contributions in the research areas listed below (but not limited to):
- Synthesis of chiral nanoparticles
- Self-assembled chiral nanomaterials
- Chiral polymers and supramolecular polymers
- Chiroptical property engineering
- Chiral catalysis and enantioselective reactions
- Chiral nanomaterials for biomedical applications
- Chiral optoelectronic devices

Submission Information
We welcome submissions for this Special Issue through March 31, 2026. For more information on submission requirements and accepted article types, please visit the journal’s Author Guidelines page.
Papers accepted for publication for this Special Issue will be available ASAP (as soon as publishable) online. After all submissions have been published, they will then be compiled online on a dedicated landing page to form the Special Issue. Manuscripts submitted for consideration will undergo the full rigorous peer review process expected from ACS journals.

- Log in to the ACS Publishing Center.
- Select the "Journals" tab.
- Choose ACS Applied Nano Materials.
- Click "Submit."
- Select your manuscript type, and, under "Special Issue Selection," choose “Chiral Nanomaterials: Synthesis, Assembly, Properties, and Applications."
