Marks is the Charles E. and Emma H. Morrison Professor of Chemistry, Professor of Materials Science & Engineering, and the Vladimir N. Ipatieff Professor of Catalytic Chemistry. For nearly 50 years, he has been carrying out cutting-edge work, including the development of organic photonics and olefin-polymerization techniques that led to processes that produce more environmentally friendly plastics. His many standout achievements include the development of flexible electronic materials that can be used for organic light-emitting diodes and solar cells.
Marks is also the author of more than 600 articles in ACS journals stretching back more than 50 years. Read the complete collection of his work in ACS journals.
