Crystal Growth & Designguest editors, Professor Tom Runcevski (Southern Methodist University) and Dr. Craig Brown (National Institute of Standards and Technologies – NIST) are seeking submissions for an upcoming Virtual Special Issue, “The Rietveld Refinement Method – 50th Anniversary,” to be completed in Summer 2021. The deadline for submissions is March 1, 2021.
This Virtual Special Issue honors the work of Dr. Hugo Rietveld, a Dutch crystallographer who described a technique that uses neutron and X-ray diffraction of powder samples to characterize crystalline materials.
The issue will accept contributions devoted to further developments of the Rietveld method and/or applications for analyses of crystalline materials in chemistry and materials sciences, broadly defined.
