This Special Issue will highlight recent advances in the discovery, design, and application of allosteric modulators as therapeutic strategies across diverse areas of drug discovery. Submit your manuscript by November 30, 2026.

This upcoming joint Special Issue “Allosteric Modulators in Drug Discovery” by ACS Medicinal Chemistry Letters and the Journal of Chemical Information and Modeling will highlight the growing impact of ligands that target non-orthosteric sites to enable selective, context-dependent modulation of biological systems. By integrating advances in medicinal chemistry, structural biology, and computational approaches, this special issue aims to showcase innovative strategies for discovering and optimizing allosteric modulators across diverse therapeutic areas.
Topics include, but are not limited to:
- Medicinal Chemistry and Drug Design
- Computational and AI-Driven Approaches
- Structural Biology and Biophysics
- Pharmacokinetics and Drug Development
- New Chemical Modalities with an Allostery Focus
- Mechanisms of Action and Pharmacology
- Allosteric Antibodies and Biologics
More information can be found in the recent editorial in ACS Medicinal Chemistry Letters. Researchers are invited to submit original research and perspectives that advance the understanding and application of allostery in drug discovery by the submission deadline of November 30, 2026.
