This Special Issue aims to highlight advances in molecular design, formulation, and delivery strategies that enable more effective peptide therapeutics. Submit your manuscript by January 31, 2027.
Peptide therapeutics are rapidly emerging as a powerful class of medicines, offering high specificity and expanding applications across chronic and complex diseases, yet their broader clinical impact remains constrained by challenges in stability, delivery, and formulation. While injectable peptide drugs are commonly used, it is necessary to find effective oral delivery and next-generation modalities such as peptide–drug conjugates. There is a need for deeper molecular understanding and innovative strategies to overcome biological barriers and improve clinical outcomes.
This Special Issue of Molecular Pharmaceutics brings together advances at the interface of molecular design, drug delivery, and formulation science to address these challenges. By showcasing research in peptide engineering, delivery technologies, analytical characterization, and predictive modeling, this collection aims to advance the development of more effective peptide-based therapeutics.

We welcome submissions for this Special Issue through January 31, 2027. For more information on submission requirements, please visit the journal’s Author Guidelines page.
Accepted manuscripts for consideration in this Special Issue will include research articles, perspectives, communications, and reviews (by proposal only). Papers accepted for publication for this Special Issue will be available ASAP (as soon as publishable) online as soon as they are accepted. After all submissions have been published, they will then be compiled online on a dedicated landing page to form the Special Issue. Manuscripts submitted for consideration will undergo the full rigorous peer review process expected from ACS journals.
How to Submit

- Select your manuscript type; upload your manuscript and related files.
- Review the title and abstract fields to ensure any pre-populated information has uploaded correctly.
