Over the last 10 years, significant advances on the manufacturing and clinical applications of microneedles have emerged that demonstrated their capabilities and potential. Currently, there is strong interest in the development of marketed microneedle patches with a plethora of ongoing clinical trials for the delivery of various therapeutic agents.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • Design and fabrication of novel microneedle patches using novel materials
  • Drug delivery applications of therapeutic molecules (e.g., vaccines, RNA)
  • Clinical applications for various diseases
  • Monitoring, sensing, detection and diagnosis using microneedle devices
  • Wearable patches and MEMS
