This Special Issue will showcase the breadth of modern Physical Organic Chemistry and will set the stage for future innovation. Submit your manuscript by April 1, 2025.
This Special Issue, "Physical Organic Chemistry: Never Out of Style," aims to highlight the numerous ways in which physical organic chemistry research is helping to define the frontiers of our discipline. The scope and breadth of the field continue to expand, from studies of reactive intermediates and reaction mechanisms to noncovalent interactions, supramolecular chemistry, computational modeling and data science. We welcome diverse contributions that employ quantitative understanding to gain insight into the structure and reactivity of organic compounds.
To capture the leading research in this thriving area of chemistry, The Journal of Organic Chemistry is calling on authors who specialize in these topics to submit your latest work to this upcoming Special Issue. Also, we invite you to navigate through our previous Special Issues.
Topics include, but are not limited to:
- Data science, computation, and/or automation
- Mechanistic and/or kinetic studies
- Catalysis
- Supramolecular chemistry
- Reactive intermediates
