Submit your Flash Communication manuscript to Organometallics. This journal initiative marks the revival of the two-page communication and provides a unique venue for high quality organometallic chemistry publications.
The editorial team at Organometallics has engaged with our community of authors and readers through a series of Author’s Corners, and the feedback was clear: bring back the two-page communication! Indeed, we are making a concerted effort to revive “Flash Communications” at Organometallics.
These are approximately two-page communications designed to give authors a venue to rapidly publish results that are short and focused. In a Flash Communication, more work could be done. And while those additions would undoubtedly provide deeper insights, the Flash Communication itself is distinctly valuable: each provides exciting organometallic chemistry as-is that adds to our field and likely inspires others.
We hope to publish Flash Communications in all areas of organometallic chemistry and plan to use them as a vehicle to evolve the journal to capture more of the emerging areas of organometallic chemistry. Both experimental, combined experimental/computational, or computational reports are welcome.
Topics include, but are not limited to:
- Catalyst design and catalytic processes
- Main-group, transition-metal, and lanthanide and actinide metal chemistry
- Synthetic aspects of polymer science and materials science
- Bioorganometallic chemistry
For illustrative examples of contributions in experimental studies of reaction mechanisms appearing in Organometallics, please see our collection of recently published Flash Communications.
Submission Information
We welcome submission of Flash Communications to Organometallics on a rolling basis. For more information on submission requirements, please visit the journal’s Author Guidelines page.
Accepted manuscripts for publication as Flash Communication will include “Flash Communication:” in the title of each Communication.Papers accepted for publication as Flash Communications will be available ASAP (as soon as publishable) online as soon as they are accepted. They will also be compiled online on the dedicated landing page to expand the collection. Manuscripts submitted for consideration will undergo the full rigorous peer review process expected from ACS journals.
Open Access: There are diverse open access options for publications in American Chemical Society journals. Please visit our Open Science Resource Center for more information.
