Rodney Priestley, Princeton University
Professor Priestley was selected in recognition of his pioneering contributions to fundamental polymer science and the processing of nanostructured polymeric systems. Professor Priestley’s has made exceptional contributions towards our understanding of the glass transition in polymers, especially in confined geometries, including thin films, nanoparticles, and block copolymer microdomains, and in irreversibly adsorbed polymer layers. He is also recognized for pioneering work in polymer thin film quasi-vapor deposition to create films with unique structure and properties, as well as the scalable production and application of structured and hybrid polymer colloids.
