We are pleased to invite you to submit your original research articles to Biomacromolecules. We also welcome your suggestions of Perspective or Review articles in this area. Please get in touch with the Organizing Editors with your suggestions.

Although this Special Issue is themed around the Advanced Functional Polymers for Medicine (AFPM) conference in Utrecht (June 5-7, 2024), submissions are not limited to attendees. Like the conference, this Special Issue aims to support, facilitate, and advance the development of polymers and polymer-based systems in the fields of drug delivery, regenerative medicine, diagnostics and related fields. Submissions should be focused on fundamental biopolymer science, rather than the applications of these materials.

Topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Drug Delivery, Nanomedicine, Drug Targeting
  • Tissue Engineering, Hydrogels, Biomaterials
  • Biodegradable Polymers, Advanced Synthesis & Processing

Authors are encouraged to adhere to FAIR Data Principles when submitting their work.
