Join us on Monday, April 3 at 10:30 am and 1:00 pm and on Tuesday, April 4 at 10:30 am in the ACS theater for three “how to” sessions brought to you by ACS on Campus.
On Monday, April 3, we’re serving coffee and donuts and hosting a presentation on ‘How to Use Social Media Like a Genius.’ We’ll explore that topic, plus give you tips on how you can leverage Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to build your platform and share your love of science. In the afternoon, we’re hosting a panel discussion on ‘How to Get Published with the ACS Editors’. You’ll get tips and tools for preparing a successful manuscript from editors across the ACS Publications journal portfolio: Prof. V. Faye McNeill, Associate Editor, ACS Earth and Space Chemistry; Prof. Deqing Zhang, Editor, ACS Omega; Prof. Pedro J. Alvarez, Associate Editor, Environmental Science & Technology; and Dr. Lorraine Clark, Managing Editor, Journal of Medicinal Chemistry, ACS Medicinal Chemistry Letters and ACS Infectious Diseases.
Tuesday is all about careers. Join us for coffee and an informal workshop on ‘What’s Next? How to Position and Market Yourself for the Next Step in Your Career.’ We’ll explore your professional options, introduce you to tools to help narrow down the search, and show you how to leverage those connections made at the ACS National Meeting.
Register for one or more ACS on Campus sessions before ACS National Meeting to be entered to win a $25 Amazon gift card. You’ll have up to three chances to win. We’re also handing out lots of giveaways, snacks, and professional development tips.
We hope to see you in San Francisco!
