A signing ceremony for a partnership agreement between ACS Publications and Nankai University was held on December 11, 2024, at the Haibing Building, Balitai Campus of Nankai University.
Chen Yulu, President of Nankai University, and James Milne, President of ACS Publications, attended the ceremony and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on behalf of both parties. Chen Jun, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Vice President of Nankai University, and Dr. Sarah Tegen, ACS Publications Senior Vice President and Chief Publishing Officer, also participated in the signing ceremony.
ACS Publications and Nankai University have successfully collaborated on many programs throughout the years, including curricula of scientific communication and numerous international scientific events. This agreement aims to further the collaboration between the two entities. The MOU outlines joint initiatives in organizing high-level academic activities in chemistry and related disciplines, collaborating on the establishment of academic journals in cutting-edge and interdisciplinary scientific fields, and conducting professional training for researchers in the field of chemistry to advance innovation and development in chemistry and related areas.
ACS Publications is convinced that the future of scientific progress lies in close cooperation and exchange among countries and disciplines. The signed MOU aims not only to promote innovation and scientific development, but to strengthen international cooperation to generate research synergy and address significant issues affecting humanity.
