ACS Publications is pleased to announce the appointment of Atul Pawar as Chief Technology Officer of the Division.

The former Group Vice President for Business Process & Software Integration at Wiley, Pawar will be responsible for modernizing ACS Publications’ IT capabilities to support the development of both existing and new products and services.

Pawar has a strong track record of driving transformative projects to completion. During his time at Wiley, he has modernized multiple systems and applications including the e-commerce platform and has consolidated or upgraded eight major enterprise platforms in four years. He has also held positions at Cengage, McGraw Hill Education, Kaplan, and Reed Elsevier, building business cases to support strategic investment and subsequent implementation.

“I am delighted to welcome Atul to the Division,” says ACS Publications President James Milne, Ph.D. “His passion for IT and extensive experience in open access, cloud migration, and modernization will ensure significant technological advancements for our researchers, editors, and other key stakeholders.”

Pawar earned his MBA from Ohio State University’s Fisher College of Business. He also has a master’s degree from the University of Mumbai and a bachelor's degree from the University of Delhi.
