Learn about the exciting features of our new system, designed to help researchers enjoy a more modernized, seamless journey from submission to publication.

We’re excited to share an early look at the new ACS Publishing Center, which unifies every step of the publishing process for authors. This revolutionary system will ensure researchers can enjoy a modernized, seamless journey from submission to publication so their focus can remain on the pursuit of scientific discovery.

This is our first undertaking alongside ChronosHub, which ACS acquired last year, to create a publishing infrastructure that will both improve the experience of every author who seeks to publish in an ACS journal and allow us to provide leading solutions to other publishers and partners. In our current phase, we’re testing the ACS Publishing Center dashboard with a limited set of users to ensure its stability and user-friendliness.

With this new dashboard, authors will be able to easily monitor the current state of their manuscripts through the publishing progress. They will also be prompted to act when needed to progress their manuscript, by considering an offered transfer to another journal or resubmitting after revisions, for example. By the end of October 2024, the dashboard will be the new default view for all authors.

In our next phase, we will begin to launch our new submission system, which will enhance the experience for authors through the process. We will start by offering it to authors submitting to Organic Letters later this year and extend the functionality to other journals into 2025.

We’re thrilled that this innovative platform for scientific publishing will make it easier for every author, reviewer and editor to contribute to the scholarly record through ACS journals.
