Polling the Community’s Views on Open Access: Results from the 2022 ACS Publications Open Access Survey

ACS Publications regularly surveys authors, reviewers, editors, and readers about their experiences with—and views on—open access. This valuable input allows us to deliver up-to-date information and services that best serve our global chemistry community.

Our most recent survey, conducted from September 26 - December 2, 2022, showed that open access continues to grow—but at a slower rate than in previous years, with institutional support (through initiatives such as read and publish agreements) expected to be instrumental in driving additional uptake.
