ACS Catalysis is thrilled to be celebrating its first decade of publishing! Since launching in 2010, ACS Catalysis has received over 25,000 manuscript submissions, leading to more than 60,000 pages of catalytic insights and discoveries published since its inaugural issue in 2011.
The journal has achieved many impressive feats during its first 10 years, including being the first non-review-focused catalysis journal to cross the Journal Impact Factor 10 threshold and receiving the Association of American Publishers’ prestigious PROSE Award for “Best New Journal in Science, Technology & Medicine” in 2013.
Founding Editor-in-Chief Christopher W. Jones played a key role in establishing of ACS Catalysis within the global community. The journal’s editorial board has grown from only two Associate Editors 10 years ago to 18 in 2020. These Associate Editors are supported by dozens of members of the journal’s Early Career Advisory Board and Editorial Advisory Board. ACS Catalysis published at least a dozen topical and regional specific Special Issues, Virtual Issues, and Virtual Special Issues. Accounts articles were introduced to highlight the careers in catalysis of top scientists and the ACS Catalysis Lectureship for the Advancement of Catalytic Science is entering its tenth year (co-sponsored by the ACS Catalysis Science and Technology Division).
How is ACS Catalysis celebrating its first 10 years?
