This Special Issue invites articles featuring mechanistic studies on reactions that involve organometallic reactivity or metal-based catalytic processes involving metals from all rows of the Periodic Table. Submit your manuscript by May 31, 2024.

The structure of a molecule on a yellow and orange background.

As chemists, we are often wondering how a reaction works. The answer to this question can be found through the fundamental task of studying reaction mechanisms. This is especially important in catalytic processes. Understanding how each step takes place and untangling the subtle interactions of molecular species is the key for the rational design of better catalysts and selecting appropriate reaction conditions for optimal results of the new synthetic methods we envision.

To further illustrate experimental mechanistic studies in different ways and the use of different tools available, Organometallics is calling on authors who specialize in these topics to submit your latest work to a Special Issue titled “Experimental Studies of Reaction Mechanisms in Organometallic Chemistry and Catalysis.”

For illustrative examples of contributions in experimental studies of reaction mechanisms appearing in Organometallics, please see our collection of recently published articles.

This issue will include articles featuring mechanistic studies on reactions that involve organometallic reactivity or metal-based catalytic processes involving metals from all rows of the Periodic Table. Both experimental, combined experimental/computational, or computational reports are welcome.

Submit your manuscript by May 31, 2024.
