This Special Issue “Chemistry in Brazil: Advancing through Open Science” celebrates the recent Read and Publish Agreement between ACS Publications and the CAPES Consortium under the Ministry of Education in Brazil.

It aims to feature a special collection of articles focusing on high-quality chemical research from the research community in Brazil. ACS Omega is dedicated to promoting sound scientific research worldwide and ensuring its visibility through its open-access platform. This Special Issue aims to fulfill these objectives by showcasing excellent work of Brazilian researchers in various fields of chemistry.

To highlight leading research in chemistry, ACS Omega is welcoming authors from Brazil to submit their latest work to this upcoming Special Issue. We hope this issue will foster wider discussions and collaborations among Brazilian researchers and scientists globally, encouraging a bidirectional exchange of ideas, perspectives, and resources.

We welcome submissions for this Special Issue through August 31, 2025. For more information on submission requirements, please visit the journal’s Author Guidelines page.

Accepted manuscripts for consideration in this Special Issue will include research articles, perspectives, mini-reviews, reviews, and viewpoints. Papers accepted for publication for this Special Issue will be available ASAP (as soon as publishable). After all submissions have been published, they will then be compiled online on a dedicated landing page to form the Special Issue. Manuscripts submitted for consideration will undergo the full rigorous peer review process expected from ACS journals.

  • Log in to the ACS Publishing Center.
